This multi-day conference honors the remarkable career of Eileen Boris, celebrating her retirement and the profound impact she has made on labor history and feminist studies. Boris has shaped how we understand the politics of work and the lives of women across the globe. Illuminating the intersections of gender, race, labor, and care work, her scholarship has not only transformed academic fields but also inspired countless students, colleagues, and activists.
The conference will bring together a community of friends, scholars, and collaborators to reflect on her scholarship and carry forward the conversations she helped ignite. We celebrate Eileen Boris’s contributions and imagine the future pathways her work has opened for feminist and labor history.
