As Eileen Boris steps down from her Chair position, Laury Oaks steps up as new Chair and Leila Rupp returns to her Graduate Director position.

When Carly Thomsen was an undergrad, feminist studies existed at very few universities. But this June, Thomsen became the first doctor of philosophy in Feminist Studies at UC Santa Barbara, a program that is just five years old.
