Lisa Crooms will speak about critical race praxis and the United Nations. Crooms will focus specifically on the use of intersectionality as a way of marginalizing women's issues and leaving unexamined the implications of race and gender for maleness (which remains the unspoken norm for conceptualizing human rights actors and violations).
