Exciting Internship with Arts for Humanity!

Karsen Lee Gould-- Arts for Humanity

I am writing on behalf of Arts for Humanity!, a local arts outreach organization that serves at risk youth, people with disabilities, and seniors through programs in the visual and performing arts. Our extensive Internship Program trains the next generation of community leaders by providing opportunities in the arts and social service.  Interns assist Arts for Humanity! in many ways; as teachers, artists, performers, photographers, videographers, and with development, outreach PR, and marketing. These enriching opportunities allow students to expand their world view while cultivating compassion and changing the lives of others.
Mission Statement:
Founded in 1997, Arts for Humanity! is a Santa Barbara based non-profit that empowers low income at-risk youth, persons with disabilities, and the elderly through participatory performing and visual arts programs.  In partnership with talented student interns, local artists, and community organizations, Arts for Humanity! cultivates creativity and gives a voice to the underserved. Our transformational arts programs bridge generational, social, and economic divides to make the arts accessible to all. Arts for Humanity! believes in a world where the arts are integral to our lives, where we celebrate both our differences and our commonality through the power of the arts.
Through our Internship Program in conjunction with our Community Expressive Arts Program, student interns gain invaluable hands-on training and leadership experience. The opportunity for interns to earn up to 4 units of credit for their work with Arts for Humanity! is available.
Arts for Humanity! programs provide unique learning opportunities for our interns, and exciting art opportunities for our constituents: students eager to express themselves through the arts.  Please view the attached documents for more specific information about our internship opportunities and let us know if you are interested in becoming an intern with Arts for Humanity!
