The Peer Advisor serves as the first point of contact at our front desk for students and professors. A strong candidate should possess the confidence to interact with the public, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The peer advisor must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, display the ability to multi-task, and be a team player working closely with Staff and the Chair.
First, second, and third year majors/minors and students with an interest in Feminist and LGBTQ Studies are encouraged to apply. Hours are flexible, Monday-Friday, 9-12 & 1-5 PM. Because of a limited budget, applicants with work-study funding are preferred.
* Available 5-6+ hours per week during the remaining 2015-16 academic year. Training will begin in April and run through June. Hours will overlap with our current Peer Advisors during spring quarter.
* Available 8-10+ hours per week during the summer and the 2016-17 academic year. The Peer Advisor does not have to be registered during summer session, but MUST be a full-time student during the academic year.
