WGS students in Europe, plus Scholarship and Appplication Info

Event Date:

March 30, 2013 - 11:45pm

This year's topic of the summer school was "Naturecultures in Feminist Academia, Art and Activism." Once again, we were the only American university to be invited for our undergraduate students to attend, and our students were thoroughly engaged with lecturers and fellow WGS students from throughout Europe!

Since the NOISE Summer School, students have also studied in Berlin with professors of Humbolt University, such as Ulrike Unga's lecture, On the Hierarchical Gender Order in East Germany and post-Wende Dispute, as well as leaders of NGO's such as Nivedita Prassad of BanYing presenting on her work, Trafficking in Europe: the Case of Germany. Now, students have recently arrived in Prague to continue their studies and independent research.
As a reminder, our application deadline for the Fall 2014 WGSE program is March 30. This program commonly receives more applications than we have spaces available, so students are strongly encouraged to complete their application on-time. More details on the application process and AEA's scholarship can be found here.
We invite you to pass this update and reminder along to any students who may be interested. As always, we are happy to provide you with any additional details you may require for the process of program review and approval.
