Feminist Studies 190
Hello! I encourage you all to take a look at the flier for Feminist Studies 190. It's being offered this fall. You do need to apply and the deadline is just a couple of days away. See the attachment below.
In this course, students will draw from feminist and queer theories to develop a significant and meaningful campus or community-based internship or activist project. Many internship and volunteer programs and student groups depend upon the unpaid labor of activists, yet often do not encourage participants to think critically about the strategies activists utilize, the discourses we invoke, or the work we do. This class will provide a space for students to develop and implement both feminist analytical tools and activist skills through creating an activist project and/or working with a campus or community-based organization.
If you're still not sure about the course, consider checking out this quarter's students in their exhibition on Thursday, June 6 at the SRB multipurpose room. It's from 4:30-6--go support your fellow classmates and learn more about this exciting opportunity.
